In Kemer, Turkey, a worldwide association was formed recently. It will include within it festival organisers, artists and others connected with the music industry.

The need to establish this organisation arose after FIDOF ceased to function following the death of its founder Professor Armando Moreno.

Two Maltese, Norman Hamilton and Robert Cefai, have been elected to the prestigious posts of president and secretary general respectively.

The association is called WAFA (World Association of Festivals and Artists) and its motto is “hand in hand together with music and art”.
