FISEC Games 2009 : Maltese Contingent leaves for Portugal

A strong 40-man contingent, made up of athletes and officials, leaves Malta this morning on its way to Algarve, Portugal to take part in the 61 edition of the FISEC Games.

Once in the Algarve region, the Maltese will be lodged at the Club Priai da Rocha Aparthotel.

Other countries taking part in this year’s Games are England, Spain, Italy, France, Holland, Belgium, Flanders, Austria, Portugal and debutants India.

Malta will be taking part in three disciplines, namely athletics, swimming and table tennis. Athletics and swimming events will be held in the city of Lagos while table tennis will be played in the sport centre of Lagoa.

The head of the Maltese delegation is Bro Martin Borg

The Games come to an end on 23 July.
