The annual general meeting of the Malta Football Association for the Year 2009 will be held next Saturday at 9.30am at the Centenary Hall, Centenary Stadium, Ta’ Qali.

The main item on the agenda is, without doubt, the election of the ordinary members of the Executive Committee for the year 2009/2010.

Twenty persons are contesting the 12 places available, as follows:

(a) Council Members in representation of Member Clubs in the different Divisions:

(i) Premier Division (two vacancies): Joseph Gauci (Birkirkara) and Paul Spiteri

(ii) First Division (two vacancies): Charles Caruana, Joseph Sammut and Bjorn Vassallo

(iii) Second Division (one vacancy): Charles J. Scerri and Salvu Vella

(iv) Third Division (one vacancy): Joseph Farrugia (Kirkop)

(b) Council Members in representation of Member Clubs in general (two vacancies): Charles Caruana, Victor Cassar, Malcolm Dimech, Raymond Micallef, Antoine Portelli and Salvu Vella

(c) Council Members in representation of the other Member Associations (two vacancies): David Abdilla, Lawrence Callus, Joseph M. Cassar Naudi and Donald Spiteri

(d) Council Members in representation of The Youth FA (one vacancy): Joe Micallef

(e) Council Members in representation of the Gozo FA (one vacancy): Charles Calleja
