Waterpolo – BoV Summer league: Neptunes, Sliema try to make it a two-horse race

Malta Independent Friday, 24 July 2009, 00:00 Last update: about 17 years ago

Current joint leaders Neptunes Vodafone and Sliema McDonalds will be aiming for a victory again this weekend to try and distance themselves from their opponents, thus making it a two-horse race till the end.

Today, Sliema will be facing Sirens Ritter Sports while tomorrow, Neptunes will come up against their Balluta Bay rivals San Giljan Tropicana Juices.

Sliema and Neptunes have been playing well of late, but Sliema's win over Neptunes last week enabled them to join their rivals at the top.

Meanwhile the draw between San Giljan and Sirens makes it a must for these two sides to win their clashes this weekend to keep their remote hopes alive.
