The Executive Committee of the Malta Triathlon Association (MTA), together with the national team athletes, paid a courtesy visit to the President of the Republic, His Excellency, Dr George Abela, recently at the Palace, Valletta (photo).

This was a memorable half-hour for the MTA wherein officials and athletes discussed the excellent results obtained by Team Malta in the Triathlon Championships of the Small States of Europe (TCSSE), held here in Malta last May.

His Excellency, who is no stranger to sport, having kept his appointment with the Malta Half Marathon this year, could reminisce on his own experiences as a sportsman.

At the end of the visit, His Excellency was presented with a memento of the TCSSE.
