M'scala keep chasing the leaders, Exiles, as they registered the double over Ta’ Xbiex.
The latter seemed on the right track, when they finished the opening session on a three goal advantage, but things took a turn to the worse for them as the next two sessions were a nightmare, and when the last session started they were fully 7-11 behind.
M'scala could then control the rest of the match. They were withour Stephen Micallef who began the first of his two game suspension. Ta’ Xbiex lost Edward Aquilina towards the end of the third period, on an eye injury. M'scala had nine man ups in their favour, and they converted five of then, whilst Ta’ Xbiex scored twice from six extra player occasions.
The two Hungarians gave Ta Xbiex a good start, sharing five goals between themselves, with M'scala replying on two occasions, but in the second session the game turned around, and it was M'scala with a three goal burst, and no reply from Ta’ Xbiex, as the two teams were level, at 5-5, at the interval.
After the break things were still bleak for Ta’ Xbiex, as they continued to concede goals, with M'scala finding the back of Alex Tanti's net six times, with Ta’ Xbiex only able to reply twice, in the late stages.
In the last quarter M'scala could administer the game, and prevented Ta Xbiex from getting any nearer, as they coasted home for their fifth win.
