As part of Baxter’s ongoing commitment to the environment, a group of around 20 employees spent a Saturday morning cleaning up parts of Il-Majjistral, the nature and history park on the northern coast of Malta. Because of its environmental significance, Il-Majjistral is a Natura 2000 site and a Special Area of Conservation.
The clean up was held to mark this year’s World Environment Day and was carried out in collaboration with the Ministry for Resources and Rural Affairs and the Gaia Foundation, which are responsible for the management of the area.
With a total area of 2.6 square kilometres, Il-Majjistral Park spans ir-Ramla tal-Mixquqa (Golden Bay) to Il-Prajjiet (Anchor Bay).
