The annual “UHM Sajf” is being held at Ta’ Fra Ben car park, Qawra this weekend. There will be different stands including various exhibits, educational stands, fire safety demonstrations, Maltese traditional food, wine stands, agricultural products, domestic utilities, and a beer garden.
For the children there will be bouncing castles, games, face painting, balloons, arts and crafts – all free to use. Children can meet animators such as Disney characters and stilt walkers, and also spend these nights under the children’s special marquee, where fabulous Disney shows, puppet shows and magical shows will be held each night.
There will also be a discussion area where subjects of national interest will be discussed with the Malta members of the European Parliament. On Sunday evening, the union’s secretary will address the public.
Tomorrow from 8pm will include a concert of seventees and eightees music by the Philip Vella Band with the participation of Dario Mifsud Bonnici, Marilena Gauci, Alison Ellul, Glen Vella, Natasha Grima, Olivia Lewis and J Anvil. The night will end with a concert by Freddie Portelli
On Sunday, the night will kick off with a live concert by George Curmi (il-Puse) accompanied by Yuri. Soon after, there will be the final concert of the “UHM Sajf 2009”. The New Cuori are doing a special reunion for the night to perform some of their best well known songs such as Il-bajja tal-Mellieha, Blue Riviera, Id-dghajjes tal-Latini, etc.
