The legal representatives of Mambra Electronics Ltd, owned by Joseph Pavia, did not contest the Inland Revenue Department’s request for the issue of a prohibitory injunction to stop him from selling his villa at Santa Maria Estate, Mellieha until he settles his overdue tax bills.
The warrant was temporarily upheld upon presentation last week. Mr Pavia is said to owe the Inland Revenue Department alone over €450,000 in income tax expenses. His legal representative, Jose Herrera, is arranging a meeting between Mr Pavia’s bank, and the company’s two main creditors, namely the Inland Revenue Department and the VAT Department.
