Malta's Alex Borg registered his fourth consecutive victory and qualified for the second round of the 2009 IBSF World Snooker Championship being held in Hyberabad India.
Alex Borg yesterday defeated Faaris Kahn from South Africa 4-1.
Meanwhile, in the Masters event, Simon Zammit moved closer to a place in the next round as he beat Clive Thomson of New Zealand 3-1. It was his third win in four matches.
Duncan Bezzina, who has two wins and one defeat from his opening three matches in Group M, was not in action yesterday.
Today, all three players will be playing.
In Group D, Alex Borg playes against Alexander Gauss of Austria, Duncan Bezzina plays against Chruv Sitwala of India and in the Masters tournament, Simon Zammit will be facing Abdul Mohsen Khamis of Qatar.
