Bank of Valletta has installed a number of new, state-of-the-art ATMs in Hamrun, The Preluna in Sliema, Qormi, Zabbar, Marsa, Naxxar, San Gwann, Paola and Rabat. Another ATM will be installed in Gozo in the near future.

The new ATMs are the first of their kind to be installed in Malta, following a similar ATM installed as a trial earlier this year. These ATMs come complete with touch screens and accept cash and cheque deposits without the need for an envelope. Cash is scanned and deposited in the customer’s account immediately while cheques are deposited within a very short time, with the ATM providing instant proof of deposit.

The ATMs have temporarily been installed inside BOV branches to enable customers to become accustomed to the features that these machines offer, with staff members close at hand to offer any necessary assistance. The ATMs will subsequently be installed on branch facades where their services will be available to customers around the clock.

This is yet another initiative by Bank of Valletta to provide added value to its customers, with the features and benefits offered by the ATMs reducing customer waiting time considerably.
