Professor Albert Fenech, chairperson of the Cardiology Department at Mater Dei Hospital, and founding member of the Malta Heart Foundation, will be delivering a public lecture about the prevention of heart disease. It is being held in the music room at St James Cavalier, Valletta on Friday, 26 February at 6pm.
The lecture is being organised by the Malta Heart Foundation, and forms part of a bi-annual series of lectures entitled the ‘Mark Lapira Memorial Lectures’. The late Mr Lapira gave substantial support to the foundation and was instrumental in assisting the founding members to realise their objectives. Mr Lapira, a former patient of Professor Fenech, passed away just days before the foundation was formally launched in February 2009.
The lecture forms part of the Malta Heart Foundation’s educational campaign regarding the importance of a healthy lifestyle for the prevention of heart disease. It will interest all members of the public who wish to learn more about how they can lower the risk factors for heart health and improve their overall health and well being.
Entry is free of charge, however, prior reservation on 7928-0170 is essential because places are limited.
