Paola Brosio met Maltese pilgrims at Medjugorje on Easter Sunday before climbing the mountain where our Lady appeared to six girls and boys on 24 June 1981 in this small village in Herzegovina. Brosio, himself a well known TV personality on Italia I and Rai 1 and Rai 2, has lately devoted his energy and television know-how to produce programmes on our Lady’s apparitions to the six visionaries. The Maltese pilgrims were accompanying a group sent to Dalmatia for the Easter holidays by Hamilton Travel which included a visit to Medjugorje on Easter Sunday.
Paolo Brosio met Joe Borg, who incidentally the day before had produced a special edition of the programme featuring the apparitions at Medjugorje during Bla Agenda on ONE TV. Brosio told Borg that Medjugorje had changed his life and that he is now committed to convey the message of the six visionaries worldwide. Brosio will be addressing public meetings in Rome and in Messina in the coming weeks and will return to Medjugorje with a large group of Italian pilgrims in the first week of June.
Maltese pilgrims who had been induced to visit Medjugorje after they had seen a special documentary produced and presented by Brosio last month on Rete 4 had the opportunity to take photographs with the Italian personality.
Brosio expressed his appreciation that even pilgrims from Malta and Gozo who he described as ‘devout Catholics were visiting this holy shrine’. This, he said, fills him with courage and determination to continue with his mission to further propagate our Lady’s message to the six visionaries.
The Blessed Virgin Lady has been appearing to the six visionaries, namely Mirjana, Vicka, Ivan, Jacob, Vicka and Ivanka since June 1981. The Vatican last week announced that a special commission is currently studying and analysing the visionaries’ testimonies and the various miraculous healings said to have taken place after visiting the hill where the visionaries claim they still see Our Lady with a child in her arms.
Hamilton Travel will send back-to-back groups to Dalmatia between July and September of this year.
