Portman International has embarked on a series of training initiatives to equip its managerial staff with the necessary skill sets and attitudes that will enable them to spread the company’s ethos amongst other members of staff.
A particular training session on interviewing techniques covered a wide range of topics such as identifying recruitment needs, what to look for in CVs, how to conduct interviews as well as how to interpret facial expressions, behaviour and gestures during interviews. The aim of this session conducted by HR Consultant Josef Said was to provide the necessary knowledge and standard procedures to follow during the company’s interviewing process.
“Training is essential in ensuring that all company procedures and practices are followed and that our protocols are in line with existing international best practices. We operate in a sector where demand for services is constantly growing while regulation is continuously being updated and developed in line with market developments. These training initiatives help us to maintain our high levels of professionalism and also to bring out the best qualities in all our members of staff,” said Mr David Marinelli, Managing Director.
