Former Birkirkara and Sliema W. coach Stephen Azzopardi was yesterday named as new Qormi FC coach.

He has signed a two-year deal with an option to extend the contract by another year.

The decision was taken after a vote by the committee of the club. The other contestant was Vince Carbonaro who led the team during the last weeks of the past season after the resignation of Jesmond Zerafa.

Azzopardi will also be in charge of the club’s nursery.
