The Malta Rugby Football Union will host the 84th AER/FIRA congress in Malta next weekend.

This event takes place after the last year’s conference (in Moscow) when the European Rugby Association voted overwhelmingly to hold their 2010 congress in Malta. 

Delegates from approximately 40 countries, including the top ranking Six Nations are expected to attend. 

The decision reflects the good standing and popularity of the Malta Rugby Football Union amongst European countries and coincides with recent, positive news that facilities for the sport are set for improvement.
