Tino Riolo has been appointed partner in the assurance division of Mazars Malta with effect from 1 January 2011. Mr Riolo started his career back in 2002 when he joined Mazars Malta (formerly Attard Giglio + Co.) during which time he worked in the firm’s audit department and received various promotions. Throughout his career, he has worked on a number of overseas assignments both at Mazar’s London and Dublin offices. Mr. Riolo specialises in insurance audits together with audits of groups and local structures.

Further expansion and development within Mazars Malta continued through the employment of Matthew Zampa in January 2011. Mr. Zampa is a specialist on VAT legislation and prior to joining Mazars worked with one of the largest audit firm in Malta. He presently holds the position of Indirect Taxation Services Manager within Mazars Malta. He has been specializing in VAT advisory and VAT compliance since 2008 and holds a B.Com (Hons.) Management degree from the University of Malta, an ACCA qualification and a Tax Diploma from the Malta Institute of Taxation. Matthew, a certified public accountant, also contributed to the first publication on VAT entitled , “Principles of Maltese VAT Law”.
