To coincide with the launch of the latest edition of the movie The Fast and the Furious - Fast 5: Rio heist; the Eden Cinemas hosted a spectacular car show inside the Bay Arena, adjacent to the cinema multiplex.

Over 80 stunning cars were on display, showing off the modifications their proud owners made on them. Thousands of people streamed into the Arena to view the exhibition over the weekend, which was free to all those who watched the movie.

Group marketing manager, Kate de Cesare stated that: ‘This is the first car show ever organised at the Bay Arena and we’re sure it won’t be the last. The attendances on the day proved the demand for such product. The Bay Arena is an ideal space to host such large scale shows & exhibitions not only due to its sheer size but because of its proximity to other entertainment venues... One can park easily, enjoy the show, a movie and finish it off with drinks or dinner.’

A free ‘topless’ car wash was organised outside the Arena – a fun and charitable publicity stunt that got people wondering... it involved nothing lewd: at ‘this’ car wash cars had their bottoms washed at no charge, but most paid a €5 donation to the Bay Kids foundation in order to have their roofs and bonnets washed!
