GO Continues to support Happy Paws

Malta Independent Friday, 6 May 2011, 00:00 Last update: about 12 years ago

GO has once again teamed up with Happy Paws and is supporting the charity’s continued drive towards helping animals out on the street by giving them the best possible treatment at its state-of-the-art animal clinic in Marsa. The clinic is geared with high tech telecom services – fixed telephony, high speed internet, mobile and digital TV – all powered by GO – Malta’s leading communications and entertainment provider.

Ever since its inception some three years back, the Happy Paws veterinary clinic has enjoyed the full advantages of GO’s high-powered quad-play communications services, for the benefit of staff, volunteers and individuals who bring in animals for treatment. From its inception, the clinic has treated more than 11,000 animals thanks to the support of its veterinary team, its volunteers and benefactors.

Happy Paws is a non-profit organisation dedicated to the stray animal community in Malta so much so that it has cut down hugely on the number of stray animals in Malta. The Charity’s main focus is to provide strays with a range of medical services such as neutering carried out in its clinic. The animal charity promotes its stray animal adoption scheme and various other programmes.

During the on-site visit, members of the Happy Paws administration team explained the purpose of equipment and various projects housed at the clinic including the novel and immensely popular Rainbow Wall. On the wall each day of the year is represented by a heart and each heart is decorated personally by the person who books it. Every heart booked out actually represents one day’s rent on the Happy Paws clinic – this is precisely why the public’s support for the Rainbow Wall and similar Happy Paws’ projects project are so invaluable.
