HSBC Bank Malta is one of the main sponsors of the 24th edition of the Worker of the Year Award which will take place at the President’s Palace in Valletta today, under the patronage of President George Abela.

The Worker of the Year Award, organised annually by the Parliamentary Secretariat for Consumers, Fair Competition, Local Councils and Public Consultation, recognises those workers who, apart from excelling in their respective jobs, acted as catalysts to provide harmony between fellow workers, fostered positive values and provided creative ideas to promote their business sector.

On receiving the sponsorship from Philip Farrugia, HSBC’s Chief Technology and Services Officer, Remigio Bartolo, Deputy Chairman, Worker of the Year Organising Committee, thanked HSBC on behalf of the organising committee saying such support goes a long way to show the Bank’s acknowledgement of good values and practices in Maltese society.
