Over 300 children flocked to the Scouts Campsite in Ghajn Tuffieha for a few hours of educational and creative activities for the Nesquik Adventure Day, organised by Nestlé in collaboration with The Scout Association of Malta.
Throughout the day, every child had the opportunity to participate in 4 educational workshops including an element of adventure and physical activity. Quicky, the Nesquik mascot, was also present on the day offering hugs, goodies and photo opportunities to the participating children.
Clyde Puli, Parliamentary Secretary for Youth and Sport paid a visit at the Nesquik Adventure Day and was shown around by Naum Janakiev, Nestlé Malta Country Business Manager. “In this day and age where passive entertainment is becoming the order of the day, we feel that it is extremely important to promote a healthy lifestyle. Physical activity should be included in every child’s schedule. Our aim for this event was to show children that they can have fun outdoors as much as they do when playing computer games or watching TV. We are also extremely pleased to support and collaborate with the Scout Association of Malta in creating these events” said Mr. Janakiev.
A number of educational talks were also organised throughout the day for parents whose kids where participating in the Nesquik Adventure Day 2011. Topics included First Aid, gardening, health and nutrition.
