Fleas and ticks are an all year round problem. As the temperature start to rise in the spring fleas will survive in greater number in the environment so in summer we have more problems. Flea adults, larvae, or eggs can be controlled with monthly spot-on applications like Prac-tic from Novartis Animal Health which are the most effective way to kill adult fleas. In the home effective flea control is necessary as for every flea found on the animal there is thousands more developing in the house. A spot-on insecticide will kill the fleas on the pet and it is the most important part of the treatment and prevention as the adult flea has to look for a blood meal to survive and reproduce rapidly (one flea can produce 300 eggs per day). Frequent vacuuming is also helpful, but the vacuum bag must be disposed immediately afterwards.

Prac-tic is the advanced spot on treatment for dogs against fleas and ticks. It contains pyriprole, a breakthrough molecule developed to provide persistent and effective protection against fleas and ticks for a full month.

Prac-tic kills 99% of fleas in 12 hours, and 100% in 24 hours, which means it is the fastest acting on the market. In comparative studies pitching Prac-tic against other well known flea and tick spot-on treatments, after three months of treatment Prac-tic’s mean EFFICACY was 97% compared to 45% of other products. Ask for the spot-on Prac-tic and the household spray Canipuce by name at your local veterinary practice or pharmacy.

Above all, Prac-tic’s effectiveness doesn’t decrease after shampooing, swimming or prolonged exposure to the sun. Using Prac-tic ensures that there is no risk of parasite resistance. Prac-Tic also protects your house and family, as fleas are carriers of tapeworms, which can infect humans.
