Bank of Valletta has signed a collaborative agreement with the Malta Association of Women in Business (MAWB). The MAWB seeks to bring together all women who own, manage or influence a business concern.
The agreement was signed by Elvia George, Chief Officer Finance at Bank of Valletta and Doris Sammut, President of the Malta Association of Women in Business.
Speaking during the signing of the agreement, Ms Sammut said “The Malta Association of Women in Business aims to bring together businesswomen of diverse occupations and to provide opportunities for them to help themselves and others grow personally and professionally through leadership, education, networking support and national recognition.”
“As an equal-opportunity employer, Bank of Valletta is proud to be associated with an organisation whose aim is to help women achieve their full professional and personal potential”, said Elvia George. “An active partner of Malta’s Business Community, the Bank seeks to collaborate in the generation of business development opportunities with members of the MAWB and to promote activities of mutual benefit to both organisations”.
“With around 60% of the Bank’s total workforce being female, we are delighted to see various women in top executive and managerial positions within our organization” concluded Ms George.
