Malta’s finance industry has come together in a joint initiative to promote Malta’s role as a European Finance Centre. Sector-driven technical and promotional guides under the sector headings of Banking, Insurance and Pensions, Funds, Trust and Foundations, and Wealth Management are being produced for distribution to prospective overseas clients and customers to generate new business in the sector via the relevant associations and FinanceMalta’s members.
In the past months, FinanceMalta has sought recommendations from its partner associations and industry practitioners to find a way to increase the current level of growth in the industry by attracting more financial services business to the country. Their feedback was for more technical and industry-specific information that would complement the existing marketing initiatives of the various industry associations and practitioners.
As a result, FinanceMalta is developing these five sector guides in cooperation with a number of industry associations including the Malta Bankers’ Association, the Malta Funds Industry Association, the Malta Insurance Association, the Malta Insurance Management Association, the Association of Insurance Brokers, the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners Malta and the Institute of Financial Services Practitioners.
FinanceMalta members are being invited to include their company profile in each of the relevant sector guides. 2,000 copies of each guide will be printed by August end for distribution by FinanceMalta over a 2-year period to its members, to non-resident executives and to the relevant industry associations. A soft copy will be made available on FinanceMalta’s website for downloading.
