With Autumn round the corner, a new TV season on Melita More is promising cosy evenings and great entertainment with several HBO award-studded series. Hit series True Blood returns with new episodes from season 4 as well as the brand new mini-series Mildred Pierce featuring Academy Award winner Kate Winslet.

Melita More is an entertainment channel featuring mainly US series ranging from drama to comedy to reality entertainment. More is currently available for free to all Melita TV subscribers on the L and XL TV packages.

The five-episode mini-series “Mildred Pierce” was nominated to nothing less than 18 Emmy Awards and is based on James M. Cain’s 1941 novel. The series depicts an overprotective, self-sacrificing mother during the Great Depression who finds herself separated from her husband, opening a restaurant of her own and falling in love with a new man, all the while trying to earn her narcissistic daughter’s love and respect. The plot of the miniseries follows Cain’s original story, dispensing with the murder plotline that was created for the film with Crawford.

Other HBO series on Melita More include new episodes from Hung (Season 3), Bored to Death (Season 3) and Entourage (Season 8). “Nucky” Thompson returns to rule the mob world of Atlantic City in the brand new episodes of Boardwalk Empire (Season 2).
