Middlesea Insurance Announces senior management appointments

Following the appointment of Alfredo Muñoz Perez as President and Chief Executive Officer, Middlesea Insurance plc has announced three new appointments. Christopher Borg has been appointed vice-president corporate services, Anne Marie Tabone has been appointed vice-president operations and James Mallia was appointed as financial controller.

Mr Muñoz Perez is a graduate in law and economics from the Comillas University of Madrid and also has a Masters degree in taxation. His experience encompasses 13 years in a senior management position with the MAPFRE Group, where he gained extensive insight of the insurance industry.

While congratulating the new executives, Mr Muñoz Perez said that given their experience and drive, the new top executives will help to strengthen the senior management team and lead the company in its commitment to embark on and exploit the new opportunities that MAPFRE will offer. Mr Muñoz Perez underlined that this new management team and internal structure of the company is aimed at further strengthening Middlesea Insurance p.l.c’s leading position within the local insurance market.
