In order to keep refining customer user experience, Vodafone Malta has improved on its indoor and outdoor mobile coverage in a number of specific locations in Malta and Gozo.

“Our commitment is to keep improving and upgrading our proposition to clients in order to achieve the highest possible standards of service,” said Andrew de la Torre, Head of Technology at Vodafone Malta. “We know that our clients make prolific use of voice and data on their smartphones and mobiles wherever they are and network capability and speed are critical in delivering a superior customer experience. To remain the best mobile operator offering the most reliable network on the island we require constant work and investment. In the past few months our technology team has been busy identifying those key areas where indoor coverage is particularly challenging. We have so far delivered sixteen areas in different localities with enhanced coverage both indoors and outdoors.”

The localities are Balzan, Bidnija, Bugibba, Dingli, Luqa, Marsa, Mellieha, Msida, Mosta, Qormi, Sannat, Naxxar, St. Venera, Zabbar, Zebbug and Zejtun. Customers living or working in these areas are now experiencing better call quality and a faster mobile data connection on their smartphones.  “The areas were identified from the continuous monitoring of service quality and customer feedback we carry out and this is part of our commitment to provide the best mobile service” said Andrew de la Torre.

This investment, which is part of a larger on-going capital investment project targeting customer relationship management, builds further on the latest certification Vodafone Malta has achieved for best data download and upload by independent German research agency P3 Communications GmbH. Vodafone Malta has been confirmed as being the operator that provides the “fastest file download performance and the fastest file upload performance among all mobile radio networks in urban areas of Malta”.
