6pm is one of 10 EMC² global partners who received an EMC Partner Innovation Award 2011. 6pm has won ‘The Outstanding Industry Solution for Healthcare’ award for its Integrated Electronic Documentation and Medical Records Management Solution (EDMS). 6pm’s Chief Sales Officer Steve Wightman and Chief Technical Officer Brian Zarb Adami received the award in Berlin last month.
The award recognises EMC Partners who deliver excellence and innovative solutions that help organisations enhance patient care delivery and outcomes, improve operational efficiencies while decreasing costs, enhance user experience and improve regulatory compliance.
Commenting on the award, Ivan Bartolo CEO of 6pm said, “Over the last three years we have put a lot of energy into becoming a key player in the health market. I feel that our efforts have now gained significant recognition. Last year we were the preferred partners with NHS Innovations; and this year we are the award winners of the EMC² Partner Innovation Award for our outstanding solution for healthcare. During those three years, 6pm has evolved from producing and delivering generic health solutions to specific administrative solutions and now clinical solutions. I take this opportunity to thank EMC² as nothing is more flattering than having a comparatively small organisation like 6pm being recognised by a global player such as them.”
The Integrated Electronic Documentation and Medical Records Management Solution (EDMS) for healthcare is an easy to use solution, which has been developed by 6pm in partnership with a number of NHS Trusts. The solution converts paper clinical records into electronic images that can be managed and archived for future retrieval directly from the Care Record System.
EDMS takes into account the need for security due to personal data held within the system; it is integrated with the NHS Spine Single Log-in in order to authenticate the user and verify their user rights. All access to the system and modifications to the documents are audited and logged in order to provide backward traceability.
