Markus Klaushofer has been appointed chief executive officer at Malta International Airport plc, with effect from next 1 January.
For the past three years, he was at Moscow’s Sheremetyevo International Airport, first as divisional director for marketing, sales & business development and subsequently as chief commercial officer. Prior to that, he spent over seven years at Vienna International Airport, first as head of marketing & sales (including cargo), later taking over the added role of business development.
He is 38 years old, was born in Vienna, Austria and has attended the law school of the University of Vienna.
Mr Klaushofer has previously served on MIA’s board of directors, between April 2007 and April 2009.
