UCIM Co Ltd, importers and distributors of FIAT in Malta are currently hosting the first Fiat Open Week of 2012 at the Fiat showroom between the 16th and the 21st of January. This Open Week is in fact an opportunity for all those who want to discover the real qualities of the FIAT brand and to be able to experience first hand what is making Fiat more and more sought after by today’s generation of drivers.
“Fiat’s qualities such as style, comfort, technology and safety, are not unique. These are qualities that are found in most brands that like Fiat, aspire to be leaders in their segment. What’s unique about FIAT however, is its character and the combination of this character with the rest of its qualities,” explains Francesca Mamo, Managing Director of UCIM Co Ltd.
“As an Italian brand, Fiat will always ensure that every model is stylish and up to scratch with the latest design trends. However, Fiat has been investing a lot in technology that is efficient and environment friendly and this has been a major factor in confirming Fiat as one of the most popular brands,” added Ms Mamo.
To celebrate this first Fiat Open Week of 2012, the public will be getting the opportunity to enjoy unmissable discounts and special offers on the Fiat 500, the Fiat Punto and the Fiat Panda amongst others. Alongside these offers, one will also be able to take advantage of the recently re-launched Government scrappage scheme on all models bought during this Open Week.
Worth checking out is the Fiat 500 Pop and its new amazing entry level price that starts from €12,900. For those to whom image is everything, the Fiat 500 is a show stopper, a model that cries for attention and gets it straight away. A closer look at the styling details will reveal the high extent to which this model has successfully managed to keep a balance between details reminiscent of the original 500 and the specifications that respect the particular requirements of today’s driver namely a compact yet stylish look that at the same time offers comfort and functionality.
From a technical perspective, the Fiat 500 is envied by many models. Its TwinAir engine is capable of developing 85bhp at 5,500 rpm. Being so small, the engine has remarkable fuel consumption figures using up to 4.0 litres per 100 km (68.9 mpg) in the city for the manual transmission version and 4.0 litres per 100 (70.6 mpg) for the unit paired with a Dualogic gearbox. This achievements in fuel consumption are not the engine’s merit alone. They are also supported by the employment of a start/stop technology fitted standard on the 500 TwinAir.
Some of the more recent awards include the ‘Gear of the Year’ Award by Men’s Journal, ‘Top Safety Pick Award’ from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, winner of the hottest sport compact category during the SEMA Awards and ‘Engine of the Year’ Award during the 2011 International Engine of the Year Awards.
For the duration of this Open Week, the FIAT showroom in Psaila Street Birkirkara is open every day from 8.30am till 7.00pm and on Saturday 21st from 8.30am till 2.30pm.
