The HSBC Malta Foundation has reaffirmed its long-standing support for Fondazzjoni Patrimonju Malti (Maltese Heritage Foundation).

Fondazzjoni Patrimonju Malti has earned a reputation for consistently organising quality events and activities that showcase Malta’s heritage. Renowned for its transformation of Palazzo Falson into a superb historic house museum, various exhibitions and cultural publications, Patrimonju generates awareness of Malta’s extensive cultural heritage, and through its exhibitions allows the public a chance to enjoy aspects of Malta’s patrimony that may otherwise remain confined to private collections.
“We are passionate about bringing the treasures of Malta’s heritage to light for all Maltese and foreigners to enjoy and HSBC Malta’s Foundation has long supported us in this goal. We have been active for over 20 years, during which time we have gained the trust of owners of rare heritage objects, and earned a wide following, thereby increasing awareness about and promoting diverse facets of Malta’s cultural heritage,” said Patrimonju’s Chairman Maurice de Giorgio.
Fondazzjoni Patrimonju Malti publishes numerous prestigious publications, including catalogues that accompany each of its exhibitions. This contributes towards a highly referenced and ever-growing body of work about Maltese art.
Exhibitions organised by Patrimonju have showcased both popular and lesser-known aspects of Maltese art, including Maltese wall clocks (l-Arloġġ tal-Lira), silver, antique furniture, costumes, sedan chairs and prehistoric art.
Fondazzjoni Patrimonju Malti is currently preparing for another of its major exhibitions, which will feature antique jewellery in Malta, and will be held sometime in 2013.
