According to a new study by analyst firm IDC, the public and private IT cloud services will generate nearly 14 million jobs worldwide between 2012 and 2015, while Central and Eastern Europe show an estimated growth between 158 per cent and 168 per cent from 2012 to 1215.
Microsoft’s Cloud Technologies will be the central theme during TechDay Malta at Radisson Blu, Golden Sands tomorrow, 23 April. Microsoft will in fact be hosting two parallel tracks, one for developers and one for the IT professionals, during which the latest Microsoft technologies will be presented.
TechDay 2012 is a unique opportunity for developers to get up to speed on the latest Microsoft technologies and up-level their skills on the technologies they use every day. Expect a day packed with high-technical content, practical demonstrations and intense discussions with top industry experts, around Windows 8 development, Windows Phone Cloud Computing, Visual Studio 11, Web development and more.
Accompanying the IT transformation towards the Cloud, Microsoft has recently launched IT Camps, a series of free in-person learning events, focused on training IT professionals on Microsoft Cloud technologies.
IT professionals are invited to attend a hands-on camp dedicated to the topic of “Implementing a Private Cloud”. The interactive format offers participants a practical experience on selected technologies, in a collaborative way with Microsoft experts and fellow IT professionals. As space is limited, interested IT professionals are advised to check the agenda and register as soon as possible (registration links at the end of the article).
“The IT Camp offers IT professionals a great opportunity to deepen their skills, to learn more about the latest cloud technologies and to exchange knowledge with peers. It’s very exciting to meet with local IT experts and share practical insights into how to deploy and manage a Microsoft Private Cloud,” said Damien Caro, IT pro Evangelist at Microsoft Central and Eastern Europe.
To meet this growing demand, Microsoft is committed to equip IT professionals with knowledge about the latest technologies, through both IT camps and online trainings and materials. Private cloud-readiness resources are available free of charge on Microsoft Virtual Academy (MVA), an easy-to-use training portal (www.microsoftvirtualacademy.com). IT professionals gain access to new trainings that explore cloud technology, free trials and self- evaluation modules. MVA students/IT professionals who participate in the trainings can get points to get for each training module taken, gain recognition and accelerate into the local and global MVA top.
Microsoft also offers free evaluation versions of all the needed products. Evaluations versions are available on http://technet.microsoft.com/evalcenter/default.aspx.
