Malta Independent Sunday, 6 May 2012, 00:00 Last update: about 14 years ago

Exigy Ltd and InfoScreen Ltd, in collaboration with the Institute of Financial Services Practitioners (IFSP) held an open seminar – Technology in Corporate Services: Embracing the Future – last month at the Radisson BLU Resort, St Julian’s. During the seminar, technology developments in the fiduciary and corporate services sectors were presented, among which was the unveiling of Quorum – the leading international solution specially built for corporate services and fiduciary organisations.

Special guest speaker Dr Michael Frendo – Speaker of the House of Representatives and Former Minister of Transport, Communications and Technology – delivered the opening address on the importance of technology in the corporate services arena, particularly in view of the boom that this sector is experiencing. Francois Grech, executive director at Exigy, spoke about the company’s 10-year experience within the corporate services sector, which has progressed to the company’s recent partnership with InfoScreen.

“Exigy is continuously on the look-out for new venturing opportunities for premium vertical solutions,” said Mr Grech, “The partnership with InfoScreen is our most recent venture that has enabled us to provide a complete solution for corporate services organisations.”

Bojan Mijuskovic, development director at InfoScreen, gave an interesting forecast on future technologies that will reshape the business landscape. His presentation focused on the areas of the cloud and mobility. The highlight of the event was the unveiling of Quorum, which was presented by Tony Ellinas, managing director at InfoScreen. In his presentation, Mr Ellinas highlighted the key benefits of using Quorum and delivered a product demo outlining the salient features of the system – corporate administration, banking management, contact and task management, time and billing, and document management. “Malta is a rapidly growing corporate services jurisdiction and needs to invest in improved infrastructure, in order to be in a position to continue offering quality services to bigger numbers of clients. Quorum, in our opinion, has arrived at the right time and offers the possibility for growing firms to put down sound foundations for the future,” said Mr Ellinas.
