New BOV ATM In Lija

Malta Independent Friday, 3 August 2012, 00:00 Last update: about 14 years ago

Bank of Valletta announces the addition of a new ATM in Sir Ugo Mifsud Street, Lija, next to the Lija Parish Church, a welcome service for the many residents of the densely populated area of the Three Villages.

This new ATM will offer more convenience to the residents of Lija and the surrounding areas by providing quick access to BOV’s cash withdrawal and other services on a 24 hours basis in an area with plentiful parking in the vicinity.

The move bolsters an already extensive network of ATMs around Malta and Gozo and is the 35th BOV ATM to be installed in strategic areas which are not adjacent to a BOV branch.

“We are continuing to invest in our ATM network, the largest in Malta and Gozo and we are delighted to be inaugurating this new ATM in Lija thus bringing our services closer to the Lija Community and to all those who pass through Lija square,” said Michael Galea, Chief Officer Operations at Bank of Valletta. “The significance of this new BOV ATM, being inaugurated during the week when the Lija community is celebrating its popular village ‘festa’, also lies in the fact that this is the first time that BOV is establishing a presence within this locality, broadening its range of services to another important locality in Malta in line with its strategy of being close to the communities in which it operates,” added Mr. Galea.

The Lija ATM is the 89th machine in BOV’s network which also includes the only Drive-thru ATM in Malta. It forms part of a programme being implemented by BOV to extend and upgrade its ATM network with an investment of €1.5 million.
