FIMBank has announced that in virtue of a resolution of the board of directors dated 11 December, Andrea Batelli is being appointed company secretary with effect from 1 February, subject to regulatory approval.

Mr Batelli joined FIMBank in June 2010 as head of Legal. He is a graduate in Law from the University of Perugia, Italy and a qualified lawyer in Italy. He has 15 years experience in the banking sector with a particular focus on trade finance.

Before joining FIMBank, Mr Batelli occupied the position of head of Legal Department and General Counsel at Banca UBAE, Rome, Italy, where he acquired extensive international expertise and thorough knowledge of the Mediterranean, Middle and Far East markets.
