TVM presenters have been warned that they will be facing the axe come Monday morning should Labour be in government, TVM’s official website reports.
The threats were made in an anonymous letter sent to the presenters in the lead up to election weekend. The letter accused the presenters in question of “militating against the Partit Laburista.”
TVM’s news portal alleged that particular journalists have been intimidated by Labour leaning media factions, with the scope of stifling their freedom in reporting certain news stories.
Labour candidate Manuel Mallia is also seeking incarceration for PN secretary general Paul Borg Olivier for a report published on a PN website.
