Carmel Pace, who was reported missing by his family last Thursday, was found this evening at 6.15pm walking in Zebbug, the police said.
The man had been last seen on Wednesday, walking towards his field in Qrendi.
According to his son David, who spoke to The Malta Independent on Friday, Nenu Pace had headed off to seek justice after his farm was ransacked, and after he was dissatisfied with the authorities’ response.
Although the man had told his son that he would be going to the police when he last saw him on Tuesday afternoon, David Pace told this newspaper that he fears that instead, his father opted to confront the people he suspects carried out the crime.
The police did not give any details except to say that the man had been found.
