Preparations are underway for the Malta Police Force’s 200th anniversary, which will be celebrated on 12 July.

Yesterday, the Force unveiled a new logo for the anniversary and slogan, 'Min-nies ghan-nies' (From the people, for the people).  A video on the Force’s Facebook page, entitled “Fast forwarding 200 years of service” was also created to commemorate next year’s historic milestone/

The Force held a number of activities yesterday to collect donations in aid of l-Istrina – a parade by the Malta Police Band from City Gate to the Palace Square, where, together with the Pipe Band, they played festive music, while the Precision Drill Team demonstrated its skills. Many of the types of vehicles used by the Force were on display in Valletta.
