The malicious campaign orchestrated by the Nationalist Party against Home Minister Manuel Mallia was denied this morning with several newspaper reports, which also confirm that the oil procurement scandal was solely the responsibility of the PN, the Labour Party said in a statement.

The PN is doing its utmost to deviate attention from the responsibility it carries, the PL said. Today’s reports show that Dr Mallia acted correctly and did not know anything about corruption. In spite of this, the PN had remained silent and in its media carried reports to the contrary.
