The secret behind an arrival of a plane from Libya welcomed at MIA by army trucks may have been solved: the minister of the Interior of Libya, Saaleh Abdurraheem Maaziq, is leading a Libyan delegation to Malta.

A government statement said a meeting was held yesterday with Minister Manwel Mallia. Among the subjects discussed there were issues that have arisen over the past days between the two countries - such as contraband, immigration, visas and passports as well as the training of Libyan military personnel.

The rest of the delegation, made up of many heads of departments, will have meetings with their Maltese counterparts over the coming days.
