A Memorandum of Understanding was signed this afternnon between Malta and Libya.

Signing for Malta was Minister Manwel Mallia while the Libyan Interior Minister Saaleh M. Abdurraheem Maaziq. signed on behalf of the Libyan governmnent.

A DOI statement said the MOU includes an agreement on more cooperation between the two sides on matters of mutualm interest such as immigration and maritime security. 

As regards maritime security both sides promised reciprocal help in training as well as information sharing and exchange of experiences.
