The consultation process for the Quality Assurance Framework for Further and Higher Education was launched on Friday 26th July  during a consultative conference held at the Intercontinental Hotel in St Julian's. The Conference kicked off a three-month consultation process and expecting the Framework itself to be concluded in October.

During the conference the framework was presented by the National Commission for Further and Higher Education (NCFHE) and preliminary feedback and reactions were already provided by international experts in the further and higher education sector including the European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training and the European Network of Quality Assurance in Higher Education.

The National Quality Assurance Framework for Further and Higher Education is a key deliverable of ESF Project 1.227 ‘Making Quality Visible’, which is led by the NCFHE. The scope of the Framework shall be to implement the provisions on internal quality assurance and periodic external quality audits in Legal Notice 296 of 2012. The Framework refers to further, higher and adult formal education provision in both state and non-state sectors.
