Opposition Leader Simon Busuttil today met with former chairman of New York's NASDAQ stock market, Frank Zarb, during his visit to the US City. For the past 40 years, Mr Zarb, of Maltese origin, held the prominent role within the financial sector of the United States, and on several occasions even served as a member of government entities led by the Republican party.

Dr Busuttil discussed the financial service sector in Malta, as well as development within the European Union, stressing the importance of such sector in Malta, which is also attracting investors in the United States.

Dr Busuttil said he is honored to have met with Frank Zarb, and had the opportunity to update him about the financial sector in Malta.

Dr Busuttil is currently in the United States after he was invited by the department of the US.
