On Saturday 25th April, seven student teams currently participating in the Junior Achievement (Young Enterprise) Start Up Programme will be putting up an exhibition of their projects at the Hyundai showroom in Valley Road Birkirkara. To celebrate this event, Hyundai will also be giving cash discounts on the day to all those visiting the showroom to view the exhibition and who decide to acquire a Hyundai model.
As part of the JAYE Start Up Programme, Hyundai is sponsoring the Brilliant Young Entrepreneur (BYE) Award, offering the opportunity to the winning team to access €15,000 in seed funding together with professional mentoring for the project's actual Start-Up.
The JA-YE Start Up Programme Exhibition will see nineteen students in seven teams exhibiting their ideas and how they plan to turn these ideas into tangible, competing projects. It will give an opportunity to the participants "to practise their business pitch and engage potential investors and clients prior to their investors Pitch and Conversation with the Start Up Programme's panel of judges," explains Julian Azzopardi, CEO of Junior Achievement (Young Enterprise) Malta.
This competition which kicked off in October 2014 and was offered to University students through FEMA's elective EMA3100 and EMA3200, enters the final stages of its cycle with the exhibition on Saturday 25th April to which the general public is encouraged to attend. "The exhibition serves as a testing ground for the participants to understand "that entrepreneurship means more than just a successful idea. It means hard work, sacrifice and teamwork. It will also be an opportunity for the students to understand how business exhibitions take place and for the public to familiarise itself better the JA-YE Start Up Programme," added Julian Azzopardi.

Junior Achievement (Young Enterprise) Malta Foundation is a non-profit, non-governmental organization that encourages young students to nurture entrepreneurship, financial literacy and employability skills from primary school levels through to University. This is the first full year of implementation of the JAYE Start Up Programme after a pilot project was run last year.
