Mechanical shovel overhangs dangerously in St Julian’s

Monday, 11 May 2015, 12:24 Last update: about 11 years ago

A mechanical shovel being used on a construction project in Spinola Bay in St Julian’s is overhanging perilously over the main square in St Julian’s, while pedestrians and cars go by oblivious to the threat.

A reader sent us this photo that shows that the mechanical shovel is standing on a slippery slope on a construction site.

Two weeks ago, this website reported a mechanical jackhammer that was overhanging at Xlendi Bay, with the Occupational Health and Safety Authority taking action to remove the danger.
