A man was injured on Wednesday evening in what the police described as a fireworks-related accident, without going into the specifics,
The man, aged 48, of Qrendi was injured at the Lourdes fireworks factory in Taz-Zellieqa Street, Qrendi.
He was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Magistrate Antoine Mifsud Bonnici is leading an inquiry.
