A court turned down a libel case against  L-Orizzont after a man alleged that a letter in the comment section was making reference to him.

On 25 October 2013, Joseph Bajada filed an application claiming that a letter published on the newspaper contained defamatory allegations in his regard. The letter was signed under the nom de plume 'Ghal Ghadex Ahjar, Rabat, Ghawdex.'

In the letter addressed to the editor, the writer questioned whether the person in charge of works at Gozitan bays is the same person being investigated for fraud. He also alleged a number of inappropriate work practices by civil servants, without any making reference by name.

The only evidence Mr Bajada could present in court was his own testimony.

The court ruled that there is no evidence that the letter was referring to him and the evidence he presented were not enough.
