The Nationalist Party said today that the Prime Minister cannot continue to defend his tourism envoy Joe Grima.

Mr Grima on Thursday launched an attack on President Emeritus Eddie Fenech Adami and his son Beppe, who is PN deputy leader, after the latter’s participation in a PBS programme.

Mr Grima said that Dr Eddie Fenech Adami is the biggest ever embarrassment of the country, among other insults.

In a statement today, the PN said that Joseph Muscat cannot shirk his responsibilities on Mr Grima, who is the country’s special envoy in tourism and who should abide by a code of ethics.

So far, the PN said, Joseph Muscat has always defended Joe Grima, who recently also attacked the president of the Republic on her position in favour of the integration of migrants. Muscat cannot continue to defend him, the PN said.
