St George’s Bay has been conferred with Blue Flag status by Nature Trust after embellishment works were carried out.

St George’s Bay and the Perched Beach at Bugibba have both been replenished with sand and life guards will be on duty.
The MTA’s research has shown that almost 30 per cent of tourist came to Malta last year came for the sun and the sea, and a further 20 per cent came for the sun, sea and culture.
A free Wifi service will be offered on nine beaches, namely St George’s Bay, Bugibba Perched Beach, Qawra Point, Font Ghadir, L-Ghadira, Golden Bay, Pretty Bay, Ramla l-Hamra and Xlendi.
