One of Melita's key fibre cables in the North of Malta was damaged by a third party contractor performing works on the Coast Road project at 3.30pm, resulting in loss of service in the north of Malta and in Gozo.
The company said all customers in the affected zones may be suffering from limited or no services for Television, Internet, Telephony and Mobile.
The service was restored in full at.8.30pm.
